Non-Drinking & Drink-Driving Statistics Report

According to the National Police Department, the number of deaths caused by drink-driving increased dramatically in first half of year 2008. From January to July this year, the total number of deaths was 402 people in 379 drink-driving incidents. Two hundred and twenty-four people who died through drink-driving showed a breath test over 0.8mg/litter (approximately 0.15% BAC) the highest in all categories. In the 0.8mg/liter category, the casualty rate reached 55.7% compared with other categories. In the top five cities' drink-driving incidents showed that most occur in the suburbs and country areas.
