Designated Driver Campaign Awareness Survey

The MOTC Performance Evaluation Report revealed the extent of awareness of the designated drive and taxi calling service among the general public in one of its survey reports early this year. According to the survey, 34% people knew the definition of ‘designated driver' after a joint promotion with TBAF in 2007. 45.5% people heard of the designated driver without knowing what it is. For a stronger awareness, the designated driver campaign has to reach out to a larger section of the drinking population in order to make more people understand that the “designated driver is a sober person who will drive the rest group home safely after a night out.”
